    Multiple Copies (XP)

With Word, Excel, and Access, I can start multiple copies of the program. For example, I can easily be running to copies/instances of Word. You cannot do that with PowerPoint. I have a dual monitor at work and it would be very useful be able to have one presentation showing on each monitor but I cannot figure out how to make it work.

I tried having the presentations show in the task bar but when I drag one to the other monitor, they all go. This does not happen when I run multiple instances of Word or Excel. Does anyone know a work around?

PowerPoint MVP and Lounger <!profile=JohnWilson>JohnWilson<!/profile> has described a sneaky way to run two instances of PowerPoint, see Multiple Monitor Magic.

Note: as far as I can tell, this works on Windows XP Professional but not on Windows XP Home.

The stretching it out across two monitors is a fairly neat trick. Not having two toolbars did not bother me. I decided to use that rather than the complexity of the two user approach. Thanks.
