shared calendar weirdness in Outlook 2003 (Outloo

    Hi
Everyone on the network has two sections in the calenar section of outlook:
    My Calendars, Other Calendars

    But one person has:
    My Calendars, People's Calendars

And he cannot see the public calendars, even though he selected 'add to favorites'
on the relevant calendars in Public Folders > Public Calendars.

    Any ideas?

    Ed

    Welcome to Woody's Lounge!

"People's Calendars" sounds like Outlook 2007 instead of Outlook 2003. Can you check which version of Outlook this particular person has? Thanks in advance.

There are two things this user could try:

    1) Quit all instances of Outlook.
Open Windows Explorer and navigate to Cocuments and Settings<username>Application DataMicrosoftOutlook
One must show hidden files and folders in order to see it.
Look for a file with extension .xml, probably Outlook.xml or <username>/xml.
Rename this file, for example by changing the extension from .xml to .old
When the user restarts Outlook, the favorites will have disappeared. The user will have to recreate them, but hopefully they will behave better.

    2) The other option is to create a new e-mail profile in the Mail control panel.
