Can I format a cell to Base 1000? (XP SP2)

    Dear Loungers,

Is there a way to use Format Cell to present numbers using a different base? (I realise it can be done with a formula) e.g. 11,223 might be presented as 11.2 (K)

    thank you................ liz

If you apply the custom format
0,
to a cell or group of cells, the numbers will be displayed as thousands, i.e. 123 becomes 0, while 12,345 becomes 12 and 456,789 becomes 457.
If you apply the custom format
0,,
to a cell or group of cells, the numbers will be displayed as millions, i.e. 1,234,567 becomes 1 and 98,765,432 becomes 99.

If you want thousands with a single decimal place, use
0.0,
etc.
