    XP - Office 2003 (Outlook 2003-SP3)

    Add-in for Outlook Calendar?

We have a user whose professional does not use a computer and she prints his appointments from the Outlook 2003 Calendar in an 81/2 x 11 format, 3-hole punches it and adds to a binder for him. I had made a copy of the daily calendar and modified it to give her lots of space but what she needs is to print the calendar in similar format as a daytimer, that is, Monday - Wednesday and Thursday to Sunday. The font must not be too small as readability is a big factor (12pt at least). This individual wears 3 hats so his appointments can be many and varied. I had modified the daily calendar to give her lots of space but that was not what they want:

I did find and test a few add-ins (I didn't keep a list but one looked okay on the surface - called "Calendar Views") - but none of them allowed the space this user wants. I found some posts here from 2004 (one of them is <post:=340,865>post 340,865</post:>) where someone had pointed out Dev Developments - I have submitted a request to ask them if they have any add-ins (and they have a lot!) that might be adapted to suit our user's needs. [http://www.devdirect.com/ALL/CALSCHED_PCAT_1873.aspx] As mentioned in one of these posts if Sue Mosher (or for that matter Diane Poremsky) have not come up with something then it probably doesn't exist. However, since 2004 there may be some new add-ins that I've not turned up as yet. I'm stumped on this and surely do welcome any suggestions.

Thanks in advance to you all.

See if you can find something in Calendar Printing Tools for Outlook.

Thank you Hans! Incredibly, we actually use Meeting Room Manager but not as an add-in - a totally separate application for boardroom bookings! I'll enlist more tech support to see if this can be adapted in any way for our user. I'll post back so that if this actually is adaptable, it might be useful for others with similiar issues. Cheers for now!

I said I'd post back if I found some suitable calendar software so here's a link: http://www.thecalendarplanner.com/?gad=COq...Biq_uj-AyCmt9sV Truncated text in the standard Outlook calendar views was the big issue so it was this paragraph that caught my eye
<hr>Traditional calendar software normally prevents you from having more than a few items in a day or week. Our unique overlap indicator will alert you when an event does not display and allow you to scroll or adjust the view. Use the additional views we offer or you can even customize them around your unique schedule, to make sure you can always display and print all your events. <hr>
Don't want to download this on my home pc but will be doing this Monday morning ... here's hoping

We've come to the conclusion what we want doesn't exist. Even if we had someone develop the calendar this professional wants - basically like the day-time 3-days per page, time down the side, dates and days printed boldly across the top of each column ... there's a good bet that at some point there would be truncated text. c'est la guerre!
