    Firewall

    Dear Loungers,
If Norton Firewall is on and working, do you think having Windows Firewall also on gives added protection or do you recommend turning it off?
    Regards,

    Re: Firewall

If you have Norton Firewall, it will turn off Windows Firewall automatically when it starts, and that's as it should be. You should *NOT* run two software firewalls simultaneously, they would fight with each other <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

(In fact, Windows Firewall will be active and protect your computer while Windows starts up, until other software is ready to be loaded.)
