    Status Bar (2000)

    Hi,

I have some vba which takes approx 5 minutes to run through at the most. I would like to have a status bar displayed so tht the user does know that something is generating.

    how can I achieve this?
    Best Regards,

    Luke

    Re: Status Bar (2000)

To display text in the status bar:

    SysCmd acSysCmdSetStatus, "Please be patient"

    To clear the status bar:

    SysCmd acSysCmdClearStatus

You can also display a simple progress bar in the status bar, but this is only useful if you have some way to quantify the progress of your code. For example if your code contains 20 main steps, you could initialize the progress bar with

    SysCmd acSysCmdInitMeter, "Please wait", 20

and when you've reached (for example) step 3:

    SysCmd acSysCmdUpdateMeter, 3
