    Contacts vs. Contacts (2007)

Just for fun I decided to open "Windows Contacts" from the Start Menu to see if I had been missing anything compared to Outlook's "Contacts" which I always use. Oh, btw this is on a Vista Ultimate desktop machine running Office Pro 2007. I was rather surprised to find some entries which did not appear (old ones) in Outlook's Contacts and some that were in Outlook Contacts but not in Windows Contacts Further, the information varied for matching contacts.

Now, I have Outlook Contacts up to date and purged of old stuff. So, is there a way I can export my Outlook Contacts into Vista's "Windows Contacts"?

    THANKS for any help. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

You can export your Outlook contacts to a .csv file and import that into Windows Contacts (Windows Mail).

    To export from Outlook:
    - Select File | Import and Export...
    - Choose Export to a file, then click Next.
    - Select Comma Separated Values (Windows), then click Next.
    - Select your Contacts folder, if necessary tick the Include Subfolders check box, then click Next.
    - Specify a path and filename, then click Finish.
