Memo Field Size in Datasheet View (Access 2000)

If I understand <post:=382,909>post 382,909</post:> correctly, the datasheet view will only display 255 characters of a memo field if the memo field has a set format property.

I have a memo field that doesn't seem to have any format properties set in the field properties in the table. Could there be another reason or another place where the format properties are set? I created a query, but the text from the memo field displays only 255 characters.

    Thanks,

    JoeK

A memo field will also be truncated if you group on it in a Totals query.

Some queries truncate memo fields to 255 characters as well. What does you query do?
