    Query question (Access 2003)

    Edited by HansV to crop screenshot - please don't post images larger than 640x480 pixels.

    I am attaching a graphic of a query where granted the age formula works in the query, but what am I doing wrong when I try to pull out just those employees who have a birthday during the month of Jan through June?
    Could you tell me what is wrong with my criteria beneath the Birthdate column to keep me from obtaining those employees born between January and June?

    Re: Query question (Access 2003)

    Try this:
    Month([birthdate]) >=1 AND Month([birthdate]) <=6

    You can't formulate a condition that way, it makes no sense.
    Create an extra calculated column:

    M: Month([birthdate])

    and set the criteria for this column to

    Between 1 And 6

    Answered way too fast and not enough thought. I was thinking of a WHERE clause.
