    View Code? (2003)

    I am on a system that does not have View Code listed in the right-click menu of a worksheet tab. I can access the VB Editor from the tool bar, but thought it odd that I can't View Code via the right-click. Any thoughts are much appreciated.

    It's possible to customize the right-click menu but you need to use VBA You could try the following:
    - Press Alt+F11 to activate the Visual Basic Editor.
    - Press Ctrl+G to activate the Immediate window.
    - Type
    <code>
    Application.CommandBars("Ply").Reset
    </code>
    - Press Enter.

    Does that restore the View Code item?

    This is how the Immediate Window was populated:

    [auto_open] <
    [SetupFunctionIDs] <
    [SetupFunctionIDs] >
    [PickPlatform] <
    [PickPlatform] >
    [VerifyOpen] <
    [VerifyOpen] > 1
    [RegisterFunctionIDs] <
    [RegisterFunctionIDs] >
    [auto_open] >
    [auto_open] <Application.CommandBars("Ply").Reset
    [SetupFunctionIDs] <
    [SetupFunctionIDs] >
    [PickPlatform] <
    [PickPlatform] >
    [VerifyOpen] <
    [VerifyOpen] > 1
    [RegisterFunctionIDs] <
    [RegisterFunctionIDs] >
    [auto_open] >

    I entered Application.CommandBars("Ply").Reset after all of this text. It did work. View Code appeared on the right-click menu.

    I assume that this only affects the workbook that I apply it to. Would I have to add this to the Immediate window on Personal.xls for all workbooks to be affected?

    Unless there is code in an add-in that removes or hides the View Code item, you shouldn't have to repeat this - the item should remain visible.
