    Orphan button (A2K on Win98SE)

Running A2K on Win98SE from an mde. My exit button has "Application.Quit" at the end. The system is leaving a button with no caption on the taskbar which disappears when clicked. Repeatedly starting and stopping the program will leave a row of them.

Anyone have any references on this? My attempts in MSDN gives either 500 or 0 hits -- can't find the secret word(s).

    TIA

Re: Orphan button (A2K on Win98SE)

I've seen the same behavior on NT with other applications (not Access), and have yet to find the reason or the cure. I haven't seen it in Access, but have you checked the task manager to see if the msaccess.exe process has actually terminated before you click on the button?

Yes, I've looked. There can be a whole row of orphan buttons and nothing in the task manager except the standard six or so -- systray et. al.
