    It's an effective lesson/reminder about the trials & tribulations of life on the "bleeding edge". <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>

    My approach with new OS release, service packs, and patches is "look before you leap", just to make sure that the system survives each event. That is, check real hardware requirements, make sure drivers exist, check compatibility with critical apps, give hackers time to reveal the security issues <img src=/S/evilgrin.gif border=0 alt=evilgrin width=15 height=15>, etc. I do the checks via the Lounge & elsewhere on the web - not just MS specs & release info.

    That is, I avoid the thrillseeker approach and let others do the pioneering for me. <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
