    References (MS ACCESS 2003)

If I give an MDE program to someone that has accees on their PC, what happens if references say for DAO etc are not selected in their Access application. Can they generate a blank database, and go into modules, then tools/references and enable them. Will that then enable the mde to work, or am I guessing they will be stuck? Thanks

    Re: References (MS ACCESS 2003)

References are stored in each individual database. So if you create a database and set a reference to DAO, then create an MDE from it, the MDE carries the reference to DAO with it. There could be a problem if DAO is installed in a non-standard location on the end user's PC, but that's unlikely.
