News alerts in plain text (OE6 WXP Pro SP2)

We receive regular news email alerts every day from a number of sources, e.g. the Financial Times, Advertising Age, etc, relevant our business. Until 2 weeks ago, these always arrived in what we can only describe as formatted (ie different size & colored text) with small pictures & with click on references to main article, if we want to read it.....all very useful.....& very quick to assmiliate

Suddenly, we're getting all these in what looks like plain, unformatted text, very hard to read at a glance, with long, long references to the articles.....it's ruining the whole high speed aspect of these news alerts

Can anyone please tell us what's going on & how we can get the original formatted versions back? We don't reckon to have changed anything relevant

    Many thanks

    Colin

Go to Tools | Options | Read and make sure that 'Read all messages in plain text" is NOT checked.

Sometimes settings in various products get confused. You could try 'checking' it and OK'ing your way out. Shut down OE. Restart OE and the uncheck it, OK your way out, shut down OE again, restart OE. Also, you ought to consider Windows Live Mail - Overview. It is the follow on product to OE and is more robust and stable.
