    print viewable data only (2003)

How do I print only the cells where there is data? Sometimes when I print a sheet, it will print dozens (or more) of sheets with no data in the cells (in addition to the portion that I want it to print).

For example, let's say I have a sheet with data in cells a1 to n34. How do I prevent it from printing cells higher than n34, since there is nothing there?

Alternately, how do I delete the unused cells to actually make the number of possible cells smaller?

    Thanks. Happy 4th of July!

For example in a code module in your personal macro workbook Personal.xls, so that you can reuse it. See Legare Coleman's <!post=Personal.xls Tutorial (All),118382>Personal.xls Tutorial (All)<!/post>.

Re: print viewable data only (2003)

p.s. Why do you think it started printing up to cell 65,000? When I typed "ctrl" + "End" it used to go to the last cell with data in it. Now it goes to approx. cell 65,000. Any reason why it would start doing this? Thanks! I'll try your other tips this afternoon. Sam in Bama

Apparently Excel thinks there is something there - either data or formatting. Have you saved, closed and reopened the workbook? That usually resets the "last used cell".

Thanks, All! I did it! I had no idea it would be that complicated (it really was easy, though). I'm really proud of myself since I'm not fluent in code of any kind. It did the job and I am very grateful!
