headers/footers Same as Previous formatting (Word 2002 XP SR3)

Is there a way to determine the current sections formatting of headers - if Same as Previous is on or not?

I have documents containing several sections, and i need to unlink the headers and turn off Same as Previous. Same as Previous is a toggle. So I have to determine the current status of the header before I can unlink?

The Header and Footer object have a property LinkToPrevious. This is either True or False. You can simply set it to False:

    ActiveDocument.Sections(2).Headers(wdHeaderFooterP rimary).LinkToPrevious = False

to unlink the 'main' header of the second section from that of the first section, or

    Selection.Sections(1).Headers(wdHeaderFooterFirstP age).LinkToPrevious = False

to unlink the first page header of the section containing the current selection from that of the previous section.
