    RIS/WDS (Win 2003 R2 SP2)

I've got 5-600 clients running a mixture of 2000/XP I used RIS a while back, and currently on a ghost PXE install which kind of works, We are now going though and reinstalling alot of machines for different reasons, the problem is we use very strange software on clients so I can't MSI it(everything else like Adobe/Office is GP'd out)
Has anyone had any succes with WDS can it be used for 2000? I understand you have to make a PE disc from AIK from the Microsoft site and all sorts of stuff to get it to work. any advise?

    Thanks

    Hi Guy

Not that I have had real experience of this but I was peripheral to the job for a large satellite office building. During a major roll out it was decided to upgrade the PC's using a Ghostcast. The Desktop Support dragged me in with some ideas and we finally got rid of the idea of Windows Deployment Services going towards the 3COM tools that were of the Ghost Solution Suite CD, it worked well....for us anyway <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>
