    Task Scheduler (2003 R2 SP2)

I have a scheduled task that runs a Microsoft DB file. The task is set to run every hour. When I am logged into the server, the task runs fine. When I log out, the task fails to run completely. When I check the task, the status says "Running". I have unchecked the box that says "Run only if logged in". I have also told it to run as Administrator with the correct password. Is there something I am missing?
    Thanks,
    Brandon

    Hi Brandon

    1) Have ticked "Enabled (scheduled task runs at specified time)?
    2) Have you tried logging in under the Admin Account and set the schedule from there?

Yes the "Enabled (scheduled task runs at specified time)" is selected and I origianally created the task under the Administrator account.

    Ok, I'll throw in some more ideas <img src=/S/grin.gif border=0 alt=grin width=15 height=15>

    1) Run | services.msc
    2) Double click Task Scheduler
    3) Click Log On tab
    4) Ensure Local System account is enabled and,
    5) Allow service to interact with desktop

I double checked and those are my current settings. Reading online is says that I need to do a service pack upgrade. But I am already running service pack 2. Not sure what the problem is.

    Re: Task Scheduler (2003 R2 SP2)

    Here is an update:
My vba calls a function that executes a DDE with a second computer. It establishes the connection via a third party software. When I check the error log of my vba, I find that the program is getting stuck because it can't find the appropriate DDE channel. The service for my third party software is running, but for some reason will no allow the connection while no user is logged in.
