    Multiple Outlook `From` addresses (2003)

I work in a corporate environment. We use Outlook 2003.

I am responsible for 2 e-mail addresses (accounts) that can send e-mails.

Right now each is set up on a different PC and the automated e-mails we send out come from the correct PC.

I am needing to consolidate those PCs into 1, so I need Outlook to be able to send FROM either e-mail account.

    How do I:

    1) add the second account
    2) choose which account an e-mail is sent from?

    Thanks!

You can create extra accounts as follows:
    - Select Tools | E-mail accounts...
    - Click 'Add a new e-mail account', then click Next >.
    - Select the type of account (Exchange if you're on Exchange Server, probably POP3 if you're using Outlook stand-alone), then click Next >.
    - Specify the details as needed.
    - Click Finish when everything has been set.

See Setting the From (sender) on a message for methods to set the sender account.

    Hmmm...

When I do this I get:

"You already have a Microsoft Exchange Server account set up. Outlook only supports on Exchange Server at a time."

To open an additional Exchange Mailbox, the steps are a little different: Tools | Email Accounts | View or change | Next | select your active Exchange Account | Change | More Settings | Advanced | in the "Open these additional mailboxes" dialog | Add ...

    OK, alternatives are:
    - Set the SentOnBehalfOfName property of the e-mails (you need to have permission to send on behalf of the other account)
    - Set up different Outlook profiles in the Mail control panel. You can specify that Outlook will prompt you which profile to use. You can connect to different Exchange accounts from each profile.

Added: also see JohnBF's reply. Adding additional mail boxes is probably a more attractive suggestion.
