    Excel loses links (Excel 2002/2003)

We have a spreadsheet with links to files on the network. All the files reside in the same network directory path. One person opens the master file and all the links open correctly pointing to J: drive. When I open the file, all the links default to c:documents and settings..... and none of the links work.

Has anyone seen this problem before and know how to fix it?

    Thanks..Susan

That's a strange problem. See if Jan Karel Pieterse's <!post=Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in XL,290455>Systematic Approach to Behavioral Problems in XL<!/post> helps.

Are you really opening the same file?

This type of behaviour could happen if the one person opened the file on the network drive and you were opening a copy of the file from your hard drive...
