    Greeting Cards (XP SP2)

I have some very nice greeting cards that do not have any greeting inside them - the are 4.5" Wide x6" High. I have a bunch of card programs but none of them seem to handle the problem of odd sizes. So, I'm wondering if anyone has tried to do this in Word (or Publisher) where you would set up a template with those measurements and be able to print a greeting on the inside. Given the foregoing dimensions, I would want to be printing Portrait (I guess) but don't know how to set this up - in the software or in the printer functions, or what.

Instead of trying to use a custom paper size, I'd set up a document or template for the standard paper size of your printer (Letter?)

Position the text correctly by using a table or text box. You'll have to experiment to get it right. Print on normal paper first and see how the printed text would fit on the greeting card.
