    HTTP access? (XP Home 5.1 / IE7.0.5730.10)

My wifes computer is connected to our home network through a Netgear router to an AT&T DSL modem and has been working perfetly fine but starting the other day she can't access any web sites or get email. I can ping things like google.com with no problem but no http or pop access. My compouter (XP Pro / IE7) is connected to the same router/modem setup and I have no problems at all.

    Any Ideas?

    Thanks,
    Thanks,

Check out Woody's posting on his site about this issue between ZoneAlarm and one of this weeks Windows updates.

But be careful, for Woody's posting doesn't tell the whole story. Zone Labs HAVE released an updated ZA that fixes this problem. If you're running Zone alarm (which you didn't say), please see <post:=720,570>post 720,570</post:> and specifically further down in that thread, <post:=720,883>post 720,883</post:> and beyond.

Thanks all, I changed the Zone Alarm firewall internet zone to medium and that pulled the cork! I then got an update notice from them wanting me to update to zaSuiteSetup_70_483_000_en.exe. I'll try installing that and see where I go from there

    Thanks again,
    Thanks,
