    Truncated Excel data (2003)

Hi. When importing Excel data to a table, data that is imported to a Memo field is truncated. Is there a (simple) way that I can prevent this? Thanks, Andy.

Access can import long text strings from Excel into a memo field without truncating them. Make sure that you haven't set a format on the memo field.

Sorry, I was misled slightly... The problem occurs when exporting a memo field to Excel. Andy.

How are you exporting? Using File | Export... and selecting Excel 97-2003 as format preserves Memo fields correctly - once again, make sure that there is no format set on the memo field.

Thank you. This appears to have solved the problem as an earlier Excel version had been selected. Andy,
