Blank /Empty cells but can't inserting (XP SP2)

    Dear Loungers,

Another recurrent irritaion... Is there a neat way of making "empty cells" really empty i.e. as they were before anything was done to them. The problem often occurs when wanting to print and not setting a print area: if you have ever copied values into some cells. even if this has been deleted so they are apparently empty , they will be included in the print. Worse is when you had used every column in the sheet, subsequently cleared some and now want to insert a column: it won't let you.

    Can this be rectified?

    thank you.......................... liz

Usually, saving, closing and reopening a workbook will "reset" the used range of worksheets. If that doesn't help, try the CleanUp macro from <post:=133,055>post 133,055</post:>.
