    configure web with scripts folder

    I am working on the files for an extensive web application and noted that the generic function for opening the db (SQL Server) is called from the scripts folder installed "parallel" to the wwwroot folder. (That is, on the same directory level as wwwroot). The function is called using include virtual < !--#include virtual="..scriptsutil.asp" -->. I cannot get the include to work and do not know what I would need to do to make it happen. Is there some kind of IIS setting I need to make? this is XP, using IIS 5.1 and Dreamweaver.

    TIA!

    Re: configure web with scripts folder

    Hi Steve

    As an experiment, have you tried dropping util.asp into the same folder as the main file to see if the relative path is wrong, try

    < !--#include virtual="util.asp" -->

    worth a try

    Re: configure web with scripts folder

    actually i just did that and discovered that I can get things to work if I use

    , but not with VIRTUAL. Some config issue in my IIS is balking at a "pure" SSI implementation. would like to resolve that issue while I'm at it...
