Menu Entry link to Doc. (2000 SR1)

Hi,

I made a Word2k Menu with macro links to doc. templates - fine & cool.
But I want to somehow integrate a link to the Doc. Tutorial File on how to use the templates with it.
In one menu entry I can only put 1 macro.

So I thought of putting an arrow link from that to the instruction file:

i.e. MenuEntry > LinkToTutorial

But how can I do this?
or do you have any sponditous suggestions as to tackling this problem?

Thanks,

m.q.

Hi,

Not sure that I understand what you want but try Tools => Customize... => Commands (tab)
New Menu (bottom of left window)
drag the New Menu in the right window to your menu. Rename it as you want and populate it as you wish.

For more on this, you might want to look at A Templates Menu in Word - like the Work Menu.

Hope this helps.

How about... in each template, set up an AutoNew macro that opens the tutorial text. Maybe if they use the template often and it would bother them to get tutored each time, you could pop up a message box asking if they would like to open the "read me" file for this template.
