Welcome to Woody's Lounge.

My first suggestion would be to uninstall the program and try reinstalling it. Did you install straight from the internet or did you download the file to your computer and execute the installation process from there ??

Acrobat.com gets installed with Adobe reader 9.0. It is probably being automatically started. You can use the AutoRuns for Windows to see and manage everything that starts when you boot your system.

Yes, you are being clear about what you did. I am curious what the Adobe screen is that comes up every time you reboot. Is it a splash screen, a folder on your system or are you directed to a web page ?? If it's a web page, let us know that before you continue.

Since it's a download, the easiest thing to do as a first step will be to uninstall it and then try to download and install it again. But this time, get the download from here. But first, uninstall what you have now.

To uninstall it go to Start>Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and select it from the list and click on Remove and follow the prompts.

Like Joe says in next post, the acrobat.com window started to appear after adobe9 download, every time I booted-up! (Please excuse me if I use incorrect terminology ) Anyway I`ve uninstalled & have yet to re-boot...domestic duties called ! It is definitely a window opening up, I`m not being connected to internet at the time; so I`m assuming it`s a folder just opening on start-up? I`ll follow your advice about downloading....Many thanks

OK, I haven't updated to version9, so I was unaware of this new "addition" to the download. Since it is part of the download, I would have advised that you check to see if there is something on the page or in the program options that would allow you to terminate this annoying and intrusive behavior.

Because I'm not familiar with this program, I'm going to do some research before I comment further.

Hi Bren,
In addition to the other posts, you might also want to consider simply uninstalling Acrobat.com. It is not required for the proper functioning of Adobe Reader. As mentioned previously, Acrobat.com is included as another "helpful" addition to the Reader download and installation. I have uninstalled Acrobat.com on three different systems now with absolutely no negative impact.
