    Print Preview (Word 2003)

    I am working on a lengthy document and want to have the formatting show. However, I occasionally want to see what a particular page will look like when printed. When I go to print preview, it automatically comes up at 55%. My aging eyes either have to squint or click twice more to get to 100%. Is there a way to make the preview page always come up first at 100%?

    I don't see a setting for this in the Options dialog. You could try hijacking the Print Preview command with a macro. Adding this --

    <code>Sub FilePrintPreview()
    ActiveDocument.PrintPreview
    ActiveWindow.ActivePane.View.Zoom.Percentage = 100
    End Sub</code>

    -- to a regular module in Normal.dot will pre-zoom the page automatically. But then, oddly, the Esc key no longer closes the Preview view; I have to click close or press Alt+C. Not sure why.
