    File Types (Unknown)

When using WinXP - If I click on Windows Explorer-Tools-Folder Options, I get three tabs: General - View - File Types. Then I can select the program (Adobe Photoshop CS to open a JPG file as an example.
However, a friend has Vista installed and when I go the same route through Windows Explorer I am faced with three tabs: General - View - Search. There is no tab marked File Types.
Where or How to do I go to select the program I want to open certain files, again using JPG as an example?

    Open Control Panel.
In Control Panel Home, click Programs, and then click Make a file type always open in a specific program.
Or, in the Classic View, open Default Programs and then click Associate a file type or protocol with a program.
Highlight a file type in the list and click Change Program.
