    Pasting margin problem

I experience a rather innocuous but annoying problem: I very frequently paste paragraphs of information created in older versions of Word (e.g. WFW 2, 6, 97), as well as ascii text, into Word 2000, and consistantly get a left margin of 0.006 for the pasted material. I end up using the <Format> <Paragraph> command to set the margin of the pasted material back to 0. Does anyone have any idea why this occurs and how I might correct it?

    Hi,

If you paste with "Paste Special", and select "Unformatted text" the text takes on the formatting of the location you're passting it into.

and if it's multiple paragraphs, they will take on "Normal" from your style menu.
