    Missing or doesn't exist (2007)

I deleted a report and a form from Access 2007 and now I get the message "The form name xxxxx is misspelled or refers to a form that doesn't exist." Same message for the report. I deleted the references from visual basic code but I noticed that both the report and form are still listed under the Microsoft Office Access Class Objects. Is that's what causing the problem and how do I get rid of them?

This indicates that the database has become corrupt. It is virtually impossible to repair this, so try the following:

    - Create a blank new database.
    - Import all database objects (if the deleted form and report are listed, skip those) from the problem database into the new one.
    - Set the startup options for the new database the same way as they are in the old one (in Tools | Startup).
    - If you have set non-standard references in VBA in the old database, you should set them in the new one too (in Tools | References in the Visual Basic Editor).

    Thanks Hans. That worked.
