Writing to CD in Word (Word 2007 - Vista)
A friend asked me how to write to a CD using Word 2007 in Vista. I still use Word 2000 and WInXP and don't know what problems he's having. I know nothing about either the OS or that version of Word. He used an earlier version of Word and XP, but apparently the steps are different enough that it's a problem. He can save files to the hard drive but needs help writing to a CD/DVD. He has all the equipment on a Dell desktop.
I was wondering if anyone could give me step by step instructions.

(Edited by jscher2000 on 20-Jul-08 23:57. )
Dell PCs usually come with a popular CD burning package such as Roxio/Sonic RecordNow. Because of the way Word proliferates temp files, it is much better to save all work to the hard drive, close Word, and then use the CD burning software to create or update the CD.
Added: Windows Vista might now include its own, more advanced CD burning utilities. Perhaps this thread should migrate to the Windows Vista forum??
