Favorites for Internet Explorer aren't stored in a single file; each favorite is a separate file, stored in C:Users<username>Favorites. Under Windows XP they were stored in Cocuments and Settings<username>Favorites.

The easy way to do it, is use IE to export the Favorites on the XP machine - you get to choose where they are stored. Move/copy the file to the Vista machine. Use IE on the Vista machine to import them.

Thanks all, appreciate the links, I will set some time aside and do some reading! I also intend to scan through the vista forum to see what I can learn. But that is for another day!! [tired],[bedtime],[goodnight].
