    Rearaging Charts (Excel 2003)

I am trying to make a chart. I have information from 2007 and from 2008. I want Jan07 beside Jan08 on the chart. How in the heck do I do that. I keep getting them in order from Jan 07 - Jun08.

    Thanks

    Re: Rearaging Charts (Excel 2003)

The data in your chart will appear in the same order as the data in the source table. If you want the data entry to be in chronological order yet the chart to be otherwise; create a secondary table in a hidden sheet which provides you with the preferred chart organization.

    Hi there,

The most important thing is to ensure that your data is layed out correctly, as Don mentions you have to ensure that your source data is set out in the correct order.

Have a look at the following workbook showing a small example. If your data is layed out differently you can add a new series within the wizard, if that is so get back to us and we can talk you through they way around this

I get it now. I had my information beside each other, but with spaces between the when I re-grouped from Don's email. This got we right were I needed to be. Thanks for the example, it really helped!
