Change default comment box (2007)

Is there an easy way to make the default size of the comment box larger or smaller? (didn't think so, but I'd ask anyway)

Thanks.

No, but you can create a macro (based on code from <post:=233,763>post 233,763</post:>):

Sub InsertComment()
With ActiveCell.AddComment.Shape
' Modify width and height as desired
.Width = Application.InchesToPoints(2)
.Height = Application.InchesToPoints(1)
End With
End Sub

If you assign this macro to a button on the Quick Access Toolbar, you can use it to create a new comment with a size specified by you in the macro.

You would think there would be by now (it's a reasonably common request) but as Hans said you have to use a macro. Right-clicking a comment that you have set up the way you want and choosing 'Set Autoshape defaults' still doesn't work either!
