Import documents into Filesite DMS (Word 2003 SP2)

Subject edited by HansV to be more descriptive than "Word"

    Hi

I wonder if you can help. the company I work for uses a DMS called Filesite, together with Word 2003 SP2. We need to import a whole load of Word 2000 generated documents into our DMS and wondered if we would need to any conversion with the documents, or if there will be any implications?

    Regards

    Angie

I have no experience with FileSite, but I wouldn't think you'd need to perform any conversion - the DMS should take care of the details when you upload documents. From a quick Google search I get the impression that FileSite is tightly integrated with MS Office, so it should handle Word documents.

Thanks for that, will there be any issue with the documents being opened in Word 2003 if they were generated in Word 2000?

Word 97, Word 2000, Word 2002 and Word 2003 all use the same file format, so there shouldn't be any problems.
