    Squished Graphic (Outlook 2007)

    Update:

I rebuilt the file and it now appears OK...must've just been corrupted somehow...

The enclosed htm file is one I use for stationary.

In Outlook 2003, it looked just as it does of you just open it as an htm file, but in 2007, it compresses the graphic horizontally, by about 50%.

Any idea what causes this and how might I fix it?

    Now I DON'T understand.

I though I had fixed this, but evidently not.

In the images, they are both snips from the same htm stationary (Outlook 2007). The larger flag is taken right from the htm displayed in IE (7). The "squished" one is how the very same sheet looks when shown in Outlook 2007 as statuionary.

What the heck could be causing this?

    O-K-....
I found something...I have no idea what it is or means, but:

If I start a message, the graphic is all "squished", but then, if I right-click, and pick "Format Picture", and then click the "Reset" button, the graphic re-0sizes to be as it should be.

Now, how come, what's it doing, and is there a way to make that adjustment permanent?

I'm not sure how to do what you want. I did want to let you know that Office 2007 uses Word to render HTM(L) while older version uses IE. Word is much more limited that IE.

    Joe:

So do you mean that *maybe* they only get screwed up by being viewed in Word, and that anyone not using 2007, will (probably) see them OK?

But then why does the "Reset" button then show them as "normal"? There's got to be something happening that can be adjusted...Wouldn't you think?

    Chuck

    Joe:

AAMOF, I just opened the (stationary) page in Word to edit it, and when it first came up, it was all distorted, but then it "popped" automatically and corrected itself. So there's got to be a setting somewhere...
