    Keyboard shortcut (XP SP2)

I recently downloaded "WordWeb" a very convenient Thesaurus and dictionary which allows one who is not the best of spellers or familiar with word meanings to (right click on any word on screen [in any App] be it a "Word" doc, Email or Web page) whilst holding the ctrl key and the meaning with synonyms instantly appears on screen. What I would like to know is, just as hitting the "Enter" key has the same effect on a tab / icon as clicking with the left side mouse button is there a keyboard short cut that is the equivalent to clicking the right side mouse button? (As the attachment shows, the free prog even works if a word is selected in a thread being typed on the Lounge site.) Kind regards S Fox.

Most recent keyboards have a key that performs the equivalent of right-clicking. It is located to the left of the right-hand Ctrl key at the bottom of the keyboard - see screenshot below.

Also, have a quick read of Running Context Menu Items with Hotkeys at the beginning under the heading Context Menus.

    Re: Keyboard shortcut (XP SP2)

Many thanks for your replies, I have accessed the Link you pointed me to Alan and find it has [for an oldie like me] lots of technical stuff but being slow to assimilate all this 21st century know how it did not -for me - tick the right box so to speak, neither did Hans's advice of hitting the key between the right Ctrl and Alt Gr keys on the keyboard, it did not open the program. ......... SORRY must apologise gentlemen for asking the question before consulting the FAQ page on the WordWeb site, if I had so done I need not to have bothered you in the first place as I have just discovered that- with a Word document on screen & the cursor placed over any word - by hitting "Ctrl + Alt+ W" gives the desired result. There is however one exception in that the key combination just mentioned only works in a "Word" document whereas Ctrl + the right mouse button works for any word that appears on screen, even the email "In" box & web pages. Thanks anyway gentlemen. Regards S Fox.
