new sim card & photoshop starter

Morning

My Mum has a new phone and is having problems up loading the photos to her comp ...not a problem on our computer just hers ... its one of those tiny cards, when we put it in the computer it will only open up in "Adobe Photoshop Album Starter Edition 3.2, photo downloader" it shows the photos up in preview but when you go to download them it says the card is empty

If we try using ... 'my computer' ... 'j drive' .... double click on files it shows them as empty but if we right click properties it says there are 14 photos in there

If we try to open up in windows picture viewer or anything else it doesn't show the 'open with' option when you right click.

I have no idea what to do it works with any other storage cards just not this one ....

.

What make/model of mobile?
Did it not come with its own software package? - this can make life a lot easier!

I'm not sure without getting back to her and checking but its the new Samsung one with the touch screen.

She has to send photos via email for work and has always been able to use the windows default setting(?) the one which pops up when you plug any storage device in, but for some reason when you plug this one in this doesn't happen.

As you can see in these two posts I'm a fairly new smartphone user also: <post:=690,408>post 690,408</post:> and <post:=711,808>post 711,808</post:>. I think those little cards can be a bit flaky if they're not "inserted" into the reader just so. My problem was different than your Mum's but just for the heck of it you might want to check the permissions angle, to be sure it doesn't accidently help her out. Also, when you right-click that Drive J: and check its Properties, do you get the AutoPlay window like this attachment from my machine?

Hello

Tried what you've suggested and still having no luck ... every time we click apply and OK when we next put the card in it has gone back to what it was before the phone is a Samsung SGH-F480, does anyone know if there are any known issues with this phone and photos? If we use the same memory card but with a different phone the photos are viewable in the normal way.

Oooh, that is worrisome! I think you ought to be talking to the service provider, or Samsung, for what you say DOES make it sound like an issue with their product, not the card. Good luck.
