    Microsoft Passport (5.5)

In New Zealand my ISP (Xtra) has just merged with MSN. Now to use my free webpage I will have to get a MS Passport. I remember that people have stated reservations about Passport and its security. Before I sign up, what are the concerns about Passport? Any comments gratefully received.

    Hi
Don't give them your everyday email address. I used to have a Hotmail account and an MSN passport and got a good deal of spam. I understand that somewhere in the sign-up form is a tiny opt-out option ( very easily overlooked) which means you don't get so much of it, but if you can't handle it, it's not worth the risk.
I don't think there are security issues, as such, but icbw.

Security Issues, well, I can say that it's very easy to hack hotmail, there are instructions for it all over the web... of course, the chances of anyone touching *your* account is nill...

Not sure if that tells you anything...
