    Analogy screensaver by Jesson Yip

<hr>Analogy is a typographic clock which fuses the immediacy of digital with the visual-spatial quality of analogue into a hybrid format. It presents an everyday object with a fresh twist.<hr>
    This is really neat..... and it's 100% <IMG SRC=http://www.the-highway.com/Smileys/free.gif>

... and makes it more difficult to read the time. A triumph of form over function!

(Sorry, but this sort of pretentious twaddle about Art makes me v. cross...)

Gee... sorry you took such offense at this rather unique screensaver. My views on art are hardly in agreement with the contemporary idea which basically says, "Whatever you feel like expressing on whatever medium you choose is art." <img src=/S/puke.gif border=0 alt=puke width=60 height=15> As a fine furniture maker of many years, I do prefer function over form. Having said that, I still find this screensaver fascinating but I wouldn't classify it as art. <IMG SRC=http://www.the-highway.com/Smileys/giggle.gif>

Sorry, Jeff - I wasn't actually offended by the screen saver itself, just by the accompanying prose!

My view of the screen saver is that it is an interesting idea - for about five seconds. Then you realise that it is both a bad digital clock and a bad analogue clock. (Other examples of this are available!)

Was it Andy Warhol who said, "Modern Art is what you can get away with"?

Decent furniture is quite a different matter, and can be truly lovely!
