Menu View (Word 2007)

Is there a way you can change the default view of the New Template Menu. Mine is defaulted to large icons and I would like it to default to list view. I have attached a picture of what I am talking about. Thanks for any help.

I don't think that's possible. This dialog has ignored the user's general preferences in previous versions of Word too.

You could create a macro in your Normal.dotm, though, and assign it to a button on your Quick Access Toolbar:

Sub MyFileNew()
SendKeys "%3"
Application.Dialogs(wdDialogFileNew).Show
End Sub
