Error Window (2002/SP2)

When I try to open websites, I get the following error: Windows cannot find [FILE NAME]. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again. To search for a file, click the Start button, and then click Search.

Any ideas?

Whiich browser are you using? (Internet Explorer 6, Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 2, Firefox 3, ...)?
Is the FILE NAME always the same or does it depend on the website you're trying to visit?

Hans,

I'm using Firefox 2 when the problem occurs. I was able to find a solution through Google.

Tom,
Why not post the solution you found, so that others can see it?
There may be others having the same problem, so sharing is a good idea.

Make the link "clickable" by adding at the beginning and end of the URL

Sorry, I didn't look at the post after I sent it. Got distracted by a phone call.

Go to HELP or click the 1-Click TagPanel for examples in the upper right corner.

Isn't is as simple as copying and pasting the URL into the browser address field?

Re: Error Window (2002/SP2)

Since this turned out to be a Firefox problem ( ) instead of a Windows XP problem, I'll move this thread to the Other Browsers forum.
