    Flyyer backdrop (Word 2000)

    Hi

I am looking at a one page flyer which contain company info on the right hand side with text on the left. I have been give the 'backdrop' by the graphics department - it is full page width with white space on the left and company info on the right.

The flyer currently includes the backdrop as insertedi image file with text on top & to the left of it. Of course, the image needs to be inserted as part of the header/footer so that no one can change or remove th backdrop

So I removed the image as inserted and added it as part of the backdrop using View Header/Footer option. But I found that the colour is *much lighter* compared to the standard insert. Any idea why? Screenshot attached with both types.

What happens if you print the document?

That behavior is by design. It will print and PDF in full color. I'm not sure is this is the reason for it, but you can tell if your cursor is in a header/footer or in the text by noticing which is greyed.
