    select several emails and reply to all (win xp / ol2003)

    I am getting replies to an email I sent out to the whole company, and putting them into a folder in 'personal folders' until the time comes to reply. So now I want to email them all with the same reply. I tried highlighting them and looking for 'reply to all' but found no such option. Any help with doing this much appreciated. Frank

    If you still have the original e-mail in Sent Items just reply-all there. Everyone including YOU will be addressed. You can then edit the e-mail anyway you need.

    Hi Joe, good idea but won't work in this case. The first email was sent via a list manager, to around 5000 people. The replies number a few dozen, and only they will get my next email. I think I need a way to capture the 'from' address of each email in some given folder, and then perhaps be able to create an excel sheet of these contacts. Thanks Frank

    As tiresome as it may be you could open a new e-mail item then select all of the saved e-mails, right click and select open. Copy the 'from' address, close the item, paste the address in the new e-mail, & repeat for all the old saved e-mails.

    Yes. If it comes to that, I will write a litte macro to do the copy and paste work. But only if there is no other way.........

    This should do want you want. Lightly tested, post back if you have any problems.

    Sub AddMultiSelectedRecipsToNewMsg()
    Dim strAddress As String
    Dim objRecip As Outlook.Recipient
    Dim itmNewMsg As Outlook.MailItem
    Dim lngCItem As Long

    If Not ActiveExplorer.Selection Is Nothing Then
    ' get selected items
    For lngCItem = 1 To ActiveExplorer.Selection.Count
    With ActiveExplorer.Selection(lngCItem)
    If .Class = olMail Then
    ' get message recipients
    For Each objRecip In .Recipients
    ' test and skip duplicates
    If InStr(1, strAddress, objRecip.Address, vbTextCompare) = 0 Then _
    strAddress = strAddress & objRecip.Address & "; "
    Next objRecip
    End If
    End With
    Next lngCItem

    Set itmNewMsg = CreateItem(olMailItem)
    itmNewMsg.Recipients.Add strAddress
    itmNewMsg.Display
    Set itmNewMsg = Nothing
    End If
    End Sub
