    Kaspersky 2009

A user mentioned Kaspersky 2009 in a recent thread here, and I checked and discovered that both Anti-virus and Internet Security versions are now available upgrades, free to registered users whose account is up to date (since the protection is on an annual subscription basis). I wouldn't have known if I hadn't spotted it there, and my impression is that the new version performs very smoothly.

... though in my experience it didn't do well with the Opera browser, so I got rid of it.

I've been using Kaspersky 2009 for the last few weeks. I've no previous experience with Kaspersky products, but on this one I can say that i am totally happy with it. i am using the full suite of it's products with little modification. I find it unobtrusive, and easy to use. Thus far, there are no problems to report. <img src=/S/crossfingers.gif border=0 alt=crossfingers width=17 height=16>

You're the guy! I was trying to find the post to cross-reference it, which I don't know how to do, and I wasn't sure of the thread. I have only had it installed for a few days but I know a lot of people here seem to use it and had you not mentioned it I would never have known, so I thought I'd give the heads up.
