    JPG Attachments (Outlook 2003)

Is there a setting in Outlook that would cause JPG files not to be viewable?

One of my teammates is having this problem. If someone sends her a JGP file, she can not view the file. Either from Outlook by double clicking, or by saving the attachment, then trying to open the file using Paint. If she sends the file to me, I can view it fine, both from Outlook and by saving it. Then, when I send the JGP back to her, she can open it and view it with no problems.

    Strange.

Any thoughts as to what might be the issue?

Does this happen with jpg files sent by anyone but you, or just from one specific sender?

Any JPG. When she gets it it is not viewable. If she sends it to one of the other on the team, they can open it and send it back. After getting it back she is able to open it.

What a strange problem. I'm afraid I have no idea what could cause this; I hope that someone else will have a suggestion.

When the file is saved have you checked the file security permissions just to see if something strange is going on?
