Get rid of access window (2003)

    Hi all,

I would like to know of a way to hide or not open the access window. I don't mean the windows with the tables, queries, form etc I mean the one thats in. So that my forms will look like a seperate application and not as if they were opeed inside the access program.

    Many thanks
    Regards

Although it's possible, it's not a good idea to hide the Access application window; you run the risk of leaving invisible instances of Access in memory.
You can specify what will be visible to the user in Tools | Startup... (please note that if you hide the database window you MUST specify a startup form).
If you wish you can maximize the startup window so that it fills the application window.

If I hide the database window how do I get it back again if I need to.

Also if I choose to hide the main window do you know how I would do it.
    Thanks

If you hold down the Shift key while opening the database, you'll bypass the startup options.

If you search Google for "microsoft access" hide application window you should be able to find examples. But I still recommend NOT doing it!
