Top Colored TextBox moves when taking Print (xp 2007)

Edited by HansV to reduce picture in size - please don't post pictures larger than 640 x 480 pixels.

    Hi,

I made a colored textbox (which is the orange in the picture) on the top of my page and there is no space between the box and top ... It is tightly connected with the top and has the width of the total page ! I want it just like that!

But when I take the print it shows itself down !

    which is very annoying!

    Any help please!

    I Attach the preview.

Most printers cannot print right up to the edges of the page - there is a margin on all sides that will remain blank. The exact size of the non-printing margins depends on the printer.

If your printer supports larger paper sizes, you could set the paper size a bit larger, then cut away the unprinted bits after printing.

But that would require a lot of work and making it uneven in terms of universal size of A4 ...

Isn't there any other way, where it can take the literal form of formating?

    Thanks and Regards,

I'm afraid it is a mechanical problem - most printers simply don't print to the edge of the paper. You can't solve that by changing the formatting.

There are some printers that have a setting to print right to the edge of the page, but not always on A4 paper. Still, it's worth looking for that option in your printer settings.
Here is an example of instructions for HP PhotoSmart printer: Printing a borderless image.

The usual way that people print right to the edge of an A4 page is to print onto a larger piece of paper and then cut it down to be exactly A4. There is a a page size called 'A4 Extra' for this very purpose.

    Hi Faisal,

Yes, but that requires you to use a printer that is designed to print all the way to the page edges. Some photo printers are designed like that. Fo many printers, though, you can change the non-printing margin's size by resetting the printer properties. That might help you get a print that runs closer to the page edges.
