Did you mean "Find C23 in column A:A" instead of "Find C3 in column A:A"?

in the example we searched in AA and found the value of "C23 in A2(ADDS), is the value in B2= B23 if not count . Does that make sense?

Sorry, none at all. What do you want if the value in B2 equals that in B23? And if not, count what?

I'm so sorry I have you scratching your head.. let's try this again.

Customer A23 is a subaccount, so I look at C23 to determine what the master account# is. Next I look in AA for the account # found in C23, I found it in A2. Now I look at B2, is B2 = C23 no. That tells me the warehouses are not equal. So I have to count that as 1 of the Sub Accounts not equal to the Master Count.

Ok, but I still don't have the slightest idea what you want and where. Do you want a formula? If so, in which cell(s)?

Does the formula in E1 in the attached version do what you want? The formulas in E2 and below are auxiliary formulas.
